An Introduction

IMG_9051Welcome to my blog.  I’m just getting started on WordPress, although this is not my first blog.  I’m excited to try out all the new (to me) features available on here.  So, here it goes.

My name is Amy, I am a stay at home mom of two fun, energetic, adorable little boys, ages 1 & 3.  They are napping right now, so I will keep this brief since I have much to accomplish in the hour to hour and a half I left.  I love my family, books, writing, travel, missions work, I’m a Christian in pursuit of becoming a Proverbs 31 woman seeking first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33, a theme you’ll see throughout this blog).

This year my husband and I will celebrate our 5th anniversary, and amazing 5 years it’s been.  This man was worth waiting for.  He is my prince charming and more.  I love him.  He loves me.  We make a great team.  Sorry, I’ll stop.  For now.

Before I had our first son, Josiah, I was working for our local church as the missions coordinator.  Mostly I worked on a project to get a children’s home in Guatemala off the ground, I was stationed in Canada, travelling back and forth as needed.  Missions is in my blood, but it’s on hold for now as I focus on raising our boys, although I do volunteer work for the children’s home (mostly helping with the newsletter and such).  You’ll hear about Casa de Alabbanza here from time to time, because I just love it and I love the children there.

I love to cook, and bake, I love music, mostly praise and worship.  These are all things you will likely see pop up on this blog.  Jesus is my oxygen, without Him I am nothing, He is my everything.

Well, I think that’s about it for an introduction.  Thanks for reading!
