Can I Please Have My Life Back?

There are times in our lives when things just feel out of control.  When it seems as though no matter what you do, how much you plan, or even how much you pray, things just are not turning out the way we planned.  Small everyday things that can just be stressful to big things that can shake you, sometimes shatter you.

In these times it can be hard to trust.  To trust in God’s promises, to trust in His goodness, to trust that He really is right next to us.

But He is.  He’s right there with you.

It’s hard in these times to “Rejoice Always” and  “in everything give thanks”… but yet if we really search, there is always something to be thankful for.

So in these times, when you feel like screaming “Can I please have my life back?!” surrender all to Jesus.

Oh, it’s hard.  In some seasons more than others, it’s hard.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV
Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

I love the words of this song, “You’re never going to let me down”.

No matter what, there is One who will never let you down, friend.  And He truly is good.

  1. Loved this, Amy! …… it gives focus when we choose to think this way …. being thankful in everything!! In the big and little things ….. in the rough and smooth places, God is with us and He is good! …. we have so much to be thankful for!!! Love Mom
