I am SO excited to have a guest writer here at Not Without My Morning Coffee today.  This woman is a powerhouse.  Remember Proverbs 31:17?  It says, “She makes her arms strong”.  I wouldn’t want to get in a fight with this girl, she’d take me down.  Thankfully that’s unlikely to happen, because she has a heart of gold, and more importantly a heart for worshipping her Lord and Saviour… a big way she does this is through fitness.  Curious?  Take a read!

My name is Courtney Jarus – I am a Revelation Wellness Fitness Instructor and Weigh Less to Feed More Facilitator. I have such a passion for health and fitness, however, like many others I have struggled with body image and insecurities most of my life. In 2014, my husband and I completed P90X3 [90 day Beachbody program]. That’s when I realized the connection of physical fitness and spiritual worship. During my workouts I found that when I shifted my focus of exercise from myself to moving for God, it became a powerful act of praise and worship!

Blueberry Pear Smoothie

We make this smoothie several times a week – some weeks almost everyday… it’s a great way to get your… self (you thought I was going to say kids didn’t you?) to get fruit in every morning!  And for the kids too…

This recipe makes 2 regular size servings, but usually I pour it into 3 kid size cups, one for me, one for each of the kids.  It’s our favourite, mild and tasty flavour.  My son won’t eat a smoothie now unless it’s purple… trying to tell a three year old that it’s blueberries is useless since he doesn’t actually eat blueberries.  Normally.  Thank you smoothie!
